FDA- Approved Sculptra™ contains Poly-L-Lactic Acid, which replaces lost collagen in the
dermis to help maintain the skin’s elasticity.
It can be thought of as the “true liquid facelift” as it noticeably corrects deep lines and lifts the
skin.
Sculptra™ restores lost volume and skin thickness by stimulating fibroblasts to produce
your own new collagen for a subtle, natural looking and long-lasting regeneration.
The treatment is suitable for patients with generalised volume loss, skin thinning or sun-
damaged skin.
Dr Beresford will carefully administer the treatment through a series of small injections with a
cannula at varying levels of the skin to achieve the most natural look.
The result is an immediate improvement in skin plumpness, followed by collagen stimulation with skin
tightening over the long term.

What level of discomfort can I expect? Mild to medium, numbing cream or injections can be
used in very sensitive areas.
How much downtime is needed? 1-2 days, bruising, swelling and mild skin redness are
possible.
When can you see the difference? Immediate improvement in skin plumpness, collagen
stimulation effect is normally seen within 3 months.
